Tomorrow, July 4th, is the day that our nation celebrates the 1776 unanimous adoption of the Declaration of Independence by the Second Continental Congress. It was a day that the United States of America asserted that “all Men (People) are created equal…with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness.” This publication became the glue for a nation made up of people from all over the world, to live in this diverse and beautiful land.
Enjoy the time with family and friends in the summer sun. Whether living in the countryside or in one of our cities, celebrate the day that these rights that were written into the fabric of our nation. Celebrate this land that we call home. Let our gratitude for our nation reflect increased efforts to take care of one another and the land that we are fortunate to share. This land is our land.
